Forever Young – Wonderful wizardry in Oz

After trying Forever Young products, Tina Viney, CEO of APAN (Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network) and APJ Editor, recently wrote a note of thanks to Matoyla Kollaras of Christina-Cosmeceuticals Australia. Viney mentioned in particular the Moisture Fusion Cream, Moisture Fusion Serum and the “wonderful” Silk Cream:

“These products are amazing! Within a week my skin was so hydrated it looked much plumper and 10 years younger. I really believe the formulators got the synergy of ingredients right in these products. I always use high quality peptide and Hyaluronic Acid products, but never experience these results.”

Matoyla, who is the Director of Skin Factors Pty Ltd. and Christina’s distributor in Australia, says that Christina’s cosmetics are “one of the most remarkable ranges on the market today, and take results to another level.” She shares with us her advice, tips and experiences regarding Forever Young treatments.

Forever Young

We recommend Forever Young products for 20-40 year-olds, but for all ages and skin types.

The Moisture Fusion Cream and Moisture Fusion Serum are OIL-FREE, so keep this in mind when prescribing for older and more lipid dry skin. While the Repairing Night Cream has Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, and Beeswax, one of the ingredients used in the range, Alteromonas Ferment Filtrate, has the incredible ability to stimulate both Filaggrin and Lipid Synthesis in the skin. This means that the ingredient is actually stimulating the skins own healthy production rather than topically applying lipids to occlude the skin so to speak – quite amazing.

Forever Young is also essential for dehydrated skin and for those clients that have filaggrin deficiency. It is also an excellent range for older skin that is still oily and prone to break out.

The Moisture Fusion Cream and Moisture Fusion Serum are driven by:

1. Hyaluronic Acid: The technologically advanced form of Nano Hyaluronic Acid that is used, with its extra low molecular weight, does not simply cover the skin’s surface, but penetrates deep into the horny layers, hydrates and retains moisture from within providing long-lasting optimal hydration.

2. Tetradecyl Aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric Urea Trifluoroacetate: HA-Boosting Peptide: A clinical study made with Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Peptide demonstrated that it accelerates the skin’s own natural production of HA within the epidermis, thus providing and retaining long-lasting hydration.

3. Alteromonas Ferment Filtrate: A polysaccharide from marine origin (coral), rich in essential minerals, and composed of neutral sugars (41%) and uronic acids (34%). Due to its structure, this agent induces the production of Hyaluronic Acid, filaggrin and lipid synthesis for optimal skin barrier function and hydration.

From her personal experience, Matoyla says: “I have been using the serum for a couple of weeks now and even though it contains no lipid, my skin seems to have regained some of its lipid, which was reducing due to my age (45). So I can at least testify from my own experience that this is in fact the actions of this ingredient.”

TIP: If you wish to prescribe a Hyaluronic Acid serum for skin, but do not want this lipid synthesis to take place (mainly in younger skin), then the best product, and another excellent source of hydration, anti-inflammatories and antioxidants, is Comodex Advanced Hydrating Serum.

PLEASE NOTE: The Forever Young Moisturising Facial Wash has a strong lipid-removing ability due to its high pH at 7.2-8.7. This means that you MUST follow this cleanser with the toner, which is a low pH or with another low pH product. Using a high pH product will eventually make skin dry – so it must always be used in conjunction with a lower pH product that will balance its actions.

Moscow, Russia, October 26-29, 2011

INTERCHARM Professional 2011 marked the 10th anniversary of this most prestigious international exhibition for beauty industry professionals. The event featured 928 exhibitors from 27 countries presenting over 3000 beauty brands, and had 51,681 visitors!

For Christina, the exhibition was a winning event. The NickOl-Moscow Center stand was inundated with visitors ̶ from distributors to salon owners, estheticians, cosmeticians and dermatologists. Most spent time in the master-class area to see Christina Zehavi’s hands-on demonstrations of cosmetic treatments.
